Santana’s found some friends.

Carlos Santana performed to local crowds in Ottawa last week, and he also has a new album coming out September 21st.

“Guitar Heaven: Santana Performs the Greatest Guitar Tracks of All Time” is the album’s name, and it will feature a different lead singer for every single track. Not only that, but all the songs will be covers of different works by different artists.

Artists and songs will include:

• Chris Cornell from Soundgarden performing Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love”
• Scott Weiland from STP performing The Rolling Stones’ “Can’t You Hear Me Knockin”
• Gavin Rossdale from Bush performing T. Rex’s “Bang A Gong”
• The Doors’ Ray Manzarek and Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington performing The Doors’ “Riders On The Storm”
• Chris Daughtry performing Def Leppard’s “Photograph”

And so much more!
